There is excitement in the air when you get to finally launch your crowdfunding campaign and begin your journey with investor and backer relations. You get to see how your ideas have evolved from the drawing board and into an actual prototype. It even gets more thrilling as soon as you see people appreciating your project and actually putting money into it to show their support.

You start thinking about the other projects that came before you who were wildly successful with their respective campaigns and you believe the same will happen to you. This is a great start to your campaign and the positive belief can be an excellent motivator. However, there could be times when you seem to have stretched yourself out too thin and you feel like you are just too exhausted to move forward.

Crowdfunding is a lot of work which is contrary to popular belief that you just sit in front of a computer all day trying to count the money that is coming in. Social funding may have a lot to be thankful for to technology but it does not mean that running a campaign means you just sit behind a monitor the whole day.

Where to get that extra push in crowdfunding

If you feel like you have reached a point where you can’t move forward with your plans due to sheer exhaustion, here are a few things that can help you get that extra push you need.

  • Remember your goals. When you reach that point where you feel like you cannot go on much longer, it helps to look at and remember the very reason why you started in the first place. This is the one things that can help motivate you to get the job done. Is it for your family or to help out a community? Is it to keep a business afloat or start a new one? Being reminded of your original goals can help give you an extra boost of energy to get things done.

  • Focus on the work at hand. Taking out distractions can be a great way to overcome exhaustion because you could be using up all your energy with the small useless aspects of the project. Block out distractions and  focus your energy on what really matters. As you are able to cross out your to-do list, you can feel a little energized to finish a few more.

  • Ask for help. Your team is there for a reason and when you feel like are really exhausted, you can look to them for support. They can help you accomplish a few more tasks before the day ends or even help motivate you to finish the job. What you need to remember is that you are all in the same boat and the success of one is the success of the whole team. You are all moving towards a common goal and it is for this reason that you can ask them for help.

  • Take a break. You need to remember that you are not a robot that can work non-stop from sun up to sun down. There could be times that you already feel drained and that you have no more energy left. There is nothing wrong with taking a break and trying to regain back your energy. If you are at home, you can take a short nap just to feel rested. If you are in an office setting then go for a walk or do something different. This can even jumpstart your creativity and can make you more productive when you get back to work.
