There are a lot of potential crowdfunding distractions that you need to conquer and set aside so you can focus and concentrate in reaching your goal. It can be as simple as putting more time in your hobby than the social funding project. You might also prefer to just party out almost every night because you feel that the project is already live and people can simply look at it and put money in.

There are also some people who have not mastered yet the art of multitasking and is failing miserably with their attempt to do a lot of things at the same time. A lot of times, trying to do everything on your own when you obviously cannot is also a form of distraction as it keeps you away from your original goal of managing the project.

Time is a precious resource people need to value in life and when you are running a project, you need to factor this in. How much time do you put into the project and how do you delegate the tasks among your team members to manage their own time as well? All these require careful planning and distractions tend to pull you further away from your goal.

Handling crowdfunding distractions

As you manage your social funding projects, here are a few things to help you keep away from distractions or get back on track after you get sidetracked.

  • Huddle back with your team. Your team will always be like your home base for the project especially if everyone is performing well. You can simply huddle together and get a status update meeting going to help you get a feel of things when you get distracted away from the project. This gives you an overview of the project and let you catch up if ever you missed anything important.
  • Check your priority and to-do list. You need to go back to your project priorities and pick up where you left off in your to-do list. This can help you to get your groove back and start working seriously again on the project. With this in mind, you should always update your list to know where you stand with the things that need to be done.
  • Put the work in first. Just work and sooner or later you will be able to assimilate back into the project. Work hard and work smart so you can accomplish your tasks whether it be looking for angel investors or crafting a specific pitch for a specific group of investors. You just need to get your head into it and prioritise the work at hand knowing that they need to be done.
  • Manage your time properly. You can still allot time for sports and hobbies but you need to know how to manage your time properly. You cannot expect to be working ten to twelve hours a day just for the project. That does not leave you with anything outside your social funding campaign. Manage your time properly so you still have a few hours left in the day for family or for yourself. Recruit the help of your team and delegate work so everyone gets to enjoy his or her own time as well. This can even help you and your team to feel relaxed and refreshed ready to face the day to day challenges of work.
